Around 2.30pm GMT (9.30am New York time) on September 11th 2001, I was leaving a Travel Agent's, here in the UK after trying to buy a Flight to the USA but was told there is a problem on the system everything was down?? I left the store to meet my wife outside, when she told me she had just heard that there had been a plane crash or something in New York. We went home & turned on CNN. Standing in total disbelief in front of the TV. The rest is now part of the History of mankind. September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... I did get a Flight a couple of weeks later & did get to see friends in Florida for a two-week stay. I have visited the USA many many time's & have many Good friends in many States. "America is a Beautiful Country" September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... In the UK we have The Royal Family. The United Kingdom, Is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our flag is the Union Jack which is made up of the red cross of St George of England, The white cross on a blue background of St Andrew of Scotland & The red diagonal cross of St Patrick. The colours of our United Kingdom Flag are Red, White & Blue & is our symbol of freedom. September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... In the USA You have a President. The United States of America Is The Union of 50 States. In comparison The USA is much, much larger landmass than the UK. In fact you could fit the UK into Texas. Then again the USA is a much younger Country. Oh how different a place the world would be today if those founding fathers had not set sail across the Atlantic Ocean & set foot on those far off shores and built the foundations of the Country, America is today. September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... The Flag of The United States of America, Old Glory. Is also Red, White & Blue. To the citizens of the USA it is more than just a Flag. It is the symbol of freedom & what The USA stands for. Which is shown in the ceremony of the folding of the flag. Below is my Humble interpretation of that ceremony of which I feel is my fitting tribute to all those that perished in the attack's on the WTC & The Pentagon. September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... For All those innocents that lost there lives on American flights 11 & 77 and United flights 93 & 175. Both of the WTC Towers & The Pentagon. September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... "Rest In Peace You will Never be Forgotten" September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001.... September 11th 2001....   The first fold of the flag of the United States of America is a symbol of life. The second fold is a symbol of mans belief in the eternal life. The third fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veteran departing the ranks who gave a portion of life for the defense of his Mother Country to attain a peace throughout the world. The fourth fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him they turn in times of peace as well as in times of war for His divine guidance. The fifth fold is a tribute to the United States of America, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong." The sixth fold is for where the hearts lie. It is with their heart that Americans pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The seventh fold is a tribute to the Armed Forces of the United States of America, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic. The eighth fold is a tribute to the one who entered in to the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day, and to honor mother, for whom it flies on mother's day. The ninth fold is a tribute to womanhood; for it has been through their faith, love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made America Great, have been molded. The tenth fold is a tribute to father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of the United States of America, since they were first born. The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The twelfth fold, in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in their eyes, God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit.
